  • Cars were equipped and maintained by Lessor (Mathers Humane Livestock Transportation Company) under a 5 year lease, that began 1 August 1942.
  • Lease rate was $0.85 per car per day, based on expected $1.00 per diem rate (per car).
  • Half of the boxcars covered by the lease agreement were understood (as recorded in the lease agreement) to be placed for loading within the switching limits of Port Huron (which included Morton Salt) at the time the lease was signed.
